FISH | Fundamentals and Applications Workshop

Following a very successful workshop on FISH (Fluorescent in situ Hybridization) held in Riga (Latvia), we welcome you to participate in a follow-up workshop entitled: “FISH: Fundamentals and Applications” at Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP) in July 2013.

The workshop is divided in 3 days and will approach both theoretical and practical features of FISH technology, particularly when applied to microorganisms. There will be a particular emphasis on method development, troubleshooting and novel advances in the area.

Adding to what we expect to be a very fruitful discussion about FISH in its most diverse aspects, participants also have the opportunity of a “hands on” experience of the technique in a one-day practical course. Furthermore, participants are invited to contribute with abstracts, that will then be presented either as poster or oral presentations sessions. Find out more in Abstract submission page.
