Autophagy: Fundamentals to Disease

The conference will:
• Explore the potential for new therapies based on understanding of autophagic processes to treat cancer as well as other diseases such as Chron’s disease, cardiomyopathy, immune regulation and
metabolic disease;
• Address key gaps in knowledge and discrepancies in the field, including an evaluation of which methodologies for assessing autophagic flux might be most accurate;
• Bring together basic researchers studying core autophagic processes, translational investigators studying the effects of autophagy modulation in preclinical models, and clinicians examining the outcome of autophagy inhibition in patients.
