This time the overall topic of the meeting is
"Quantitative stem cell biology – From models to applications".
Under this headline, we are bringing together experimentalists and clinicians with theoreticians to discuss latest experimental/clinical results, new theoretical concepts, and innovative technologies.
To foster a truly interdisciplinary, open-minded exchange of ideas, the conference starts with a 1.5 day symposium on dynamics of stem cell heterogeneity and stem cell fate decisions (with topics ranging from basic to systems biology) in different tissues and cell types. This plenary part will be followed by parallel sessions on more specific topics, focusing on hematopoietic stem cells, neural stem cells and diabetes.
We believe this format is particularly suitable to encourage scientists to see beyond their own research and to foster exiting new ideas.
